I couldn't live without meat.

Lamb and mint sauce FTW!
Haggis FTW!
Beef FTW!

Also... I went to France last week with the school and tried Snails and Frogs Legs for the first time - they are minging (mingin is a Scottish word meaning disgusting)

Eating veg constantly is very bad for you - even if you take supplements and nuts. There are many things we still do not know about what can harm our body.

EDIT: I think that Vegans and Vegetarians should re consider meat. Humans are supposed to eat meat... Their body has adapted for Milena to eat meat. Plus as long as the animals die in a decent condition it is both yummy and completely fine.

Also I applogise for spelling mistakes - my spell check isn't working correctly.

I assume this topic was created after the hunting discussion in the stramline topic?

I could hunt for food quick easily methinks... but I would rather farm than hunt. Much easier and beneficial.

And yes, I am a vegetarian. I am not a vegan, however, I still eat/drink most dairy products.

I don't think I would be able to be vegetarian altho it is something id like to do. I don't eat or like many vegetables and I do not think I would get the vitamins and also I would go bonkers if I couldn't eat meat pie any more.

I really like meat, but due to religion can't have any meat containing pig(Considered too unholy to eat). Unfortuanately they often incorperate pig into school meals(Which aren't that often) forcing me to temperarily be a vegitarian, which I really dislike.

Cat: It's not like being a vegetarian limits you to only vegetables... and replacement meat tastes just as good, if not better, (IMO), than what I remember meat being.

Seriously, after three days or so, you find yourself not caring about meat at all.

*sigh* Isn't there a rule against backwards letters?

Meat is murder, yes... but tasty murder. Salad to me is bland... without bacon bits. I can't eat bread... without salami or pepperoni or bacon. 85% of non-junk food I eat is meat!

You can't eat mars bars either... if you are veggie - or jelly... or almost any sweet if you are a vegan...

meat isn't murder... it isn't murder when it is helping you live... I actually have another point...

If everyone were to become veggie or vegan then animal farms will go out of business meaning millions of animals would be left to die. This in turn means that entire breeds or even species of animals would die out as many wouldn't be able to survive in the wild.

Another thing what could happen is that the animals overpopulate and with no humans to feed them, starve. The local predetors may relay on this new food source and starve after because of forgeting how to hunt.

well most animals bred for human consumption wouldn't survive in the wild

Oh, you're clever. Upside-DOWN letters.

Ender: They did a good job of it for before we took them into captivity. There are still wild ones too, ya know.

It is still kind of backwards because the order that the letters appear when viewing it normally appears in backwards order.

Yes but most of these animals we took into captivity hundreds of years ago... they only know what is needed in a farm. Also these wild ones you speak of are completely different types. Wild boar for example is completely different to the kind we normally eat... how would you like it if you were taken out of your house and thrown away into a forest to fend for yourself.

it does make sense, in that sort of crazy backwards-logic kind of way, but I don't think its a really valid point because the only reason they cant survive in the wild now is because we started eating them in the first place

... which is nature. We aren't to blame for making animals domesticated to the extent that they can't fend for themselves... we give them a better way of life where there is no preditors.

Many of the animals wouldn't have survived in the first place... for example it is not our fault that Giant Pandas are dieing out because they have been doing so for the last thousand odd years... they have the body of a carnivour... meaning they need lots of energy but all the eat is a plant that is very low in nutriants and physically poisons them. So they can't move very fast for any distance of time. This means that they shouldn't have survived in the first place if it weren't for humans stepping in.

Humans can't help it if we evolved as omnivores. So why should we fight against our genetics and not eat meat?
